Getting started

Find the headset

•The Meta Quest 3 is in the gym — it's charged and ready to go.
•The controllers are stored inside the headset or nearby in the case.
•The lens cloth is in the case — wipe between users.
•Sweat cloths are in the case too — a cloth liner that sits between your forehead and the headset. Grab a fresh one before you play.

Put it on

•Loosen the top strap, slip the front visor over your eyes, then bring the back strap down over the back of your head.
•Tighten the side knob (right side) until it feels snug — not tight.
•The headset has a proximity sensor and wakes up automatically when worn.
•Adjust the IPD slider on the bottom of the headset until the image looks sharp — there are three click positions.
•It fits over most glasses. Press the spacer into the foam if you need more room.

Hold the controllers

•Slip your hands through the wrist loops before gripping — important if things get physical.
•Index finger = Trigger (select / shoot / grab)
•Middle finger = Grip (hold objects)
•Thumbstick = Move / navigate menus
•A / B (right) and X / Y (left) = game actions
•Meta logo button (right) = Home menu
•Menu button (left) = Back / pause

Set your boundary

•The first time you use the headset, it will ask you to draw a Guardian boundary.
•Slowly point and trace around the edge of your clear play space — at least 6×6 feet recommended.
•If you get close to the edge, a grid wall appears to warn you. Stay inside it.
•You can always reset the Guardian from the quick settings menu.
